Watching my little girl marvel at the wonder of nature brings me so much joy, so we try to spend as much time outdoors as we can. Whether we're wild wandering, gardening, crafting, forest schooling or simply playing, you can guarantee our beloved wellies will be close at hand. They are always our footwear of choice and we are definitely happiest in wellies!

Growing our own fruit and veg is one of our favourite hobbies. Having the chance to connect with nature a little bit every day, as well as getting creative in the kitchen to sample our own home-grown delights is a real joy for the whole family. And my toddler absolutely loves it.

I'm Heidi. I’m a Mum, teacher, writer, gardener and lover of the outdoors. I’ve been growing veg at home for over 20 years, and with children (in schools and at home) for 9 years. I'm not an expert, far from it. I'm a hobby gardener trying out new things and learning along the way. 

I started this blog with a mission to bring the joys of gardening and outdoor learning to families everywhere.
